I told myself and my friends that I would not buy another game on Steam until Civ V comes back on sale.

Since then, I have passed on decent and good deals on other games because I know it would be my luck that Civ 5 would go on sale right after I blow my money on another game. So, as I am writing this, I am downloading Civ 5 GOTY from TPB because I got tired of waiting[2.5 months or so]. I do not know if I will be able to convince myself to buy it when it goes on sale once my download completes and is installed. Like I said, Reddit, I am a mighty pirate, but I am trying.

• Offline mode works, but only for a few weeks. After that it just suddenly stops working and you are forced to connect to the internet. I've been the victim of this myself. Let me tell you, when you can't get online for several weeks you really want your offline single player games to function.

• Torrents go dead all the time. There are many games you can't find reliable torrents for today. When a game is newer the number of seeders is greater. Disk space is cheap as hell.

Installers and ISO files typically take up less space than the games installed by steam by several GBs.
